Tamara Lam-Plattes focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on the financing, acquisition, disposition, and leasing of all types of properties including office, retail, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use projects and undeveloped land.
Tamara has represented and advised a broad range of clients including institutional lenders, loan servicers, real estate investment firms, owners and developers. She has extensive experience handling a wide spectrum of real estate transactions such as mortgage and mezzanine loan originations, secured and unsecured financing, CMBS servicing, construction lending, the purchase and sale of real properties, and commercial lease negotiations.
Prior to joining Coblentz, Tamara was an associate in the Finance and Real Estate practice group at Dechert LLP and the Real Estate and Environment practice group at Hanson Bridgett LLP.
Tamara earned her B.A. in Political Science and Hispanic Studies at Brown University. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law where she was a member of the University of San Francisco Law Review and Co-President of the La Raza Law Students Association. While in law school Tamara worked as a judicial extern with the Honorable Edward M. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
