Joanna Ellsworth manages the firm’s legal recruitment, professional development and associate evaluation programs which includes working with the COO and Practice Group Leaders to create strategic plans and programming to meet the hiring and training needs of the firm. She also works closely with internal leadership committees to develop diversity and inclusion initiatives, further the firm’s pro bono participation objectives, and ensure the success of attorney integration and retention.
Before joining Coblentz, Joanna spent more than ten years managing attorney development in the New York and California offices of Goodwin Procter and prior to that was a practicing litigator at Skadden, Arps in New York.
Joanna is an active member of the local and national chapters of the Professional Development Consortium (PDC). She has also completed training programs for one-on-one as well as organizational systems coaching through CTI and CRR Global respectively.
Joanna holds a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from Wittenberg University.
