Foram Dave represents clients in a variety of business transactions and disputes, including corporate and intellectual property matters and litigation. She strives to stay ahead of new and rapidly emerging technologies that present new challenges to protecting her clients’ intellectual property, and ensures that clients are safeguarded against potential adverse impacts. She has represented clients in a variety of industries, including technology, software, education, fashion, entertainment, food and beverage, and retail.
Foram’s transactional practice includes negotiating and drafting commercial agreements with respect to intellectual property and technology-related matters, including software, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), software development and implementation, and professional service agreements. Foram is also experienced in drafting business agreements such as online partnerships and rewards programs. As part of her intellectual property practice, she counsels clients on trademark licensing, clearance, and enforcement.
Foram has experience representing clients in proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board but strives to resolve disputes by negotiating consent or coexistence agreements. Her litigation experience also includes representing businesses in copyright and trademark infringement, unfair competition, breach of contract, and business torts disputes.
Prior to joining Coblentz, Foram was an associate in the litigation group at Nixon Peabody LLP.
Foram earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she graduated cum laude. While at Hastings, she was Notes Editor of the Communications & Entertainment Law Journal and Staff Editor of the Hastings Business Law Journal. Foram earned her B.A. in biology, cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University.
