Kadeidra Honey

Associate

Kadeidra Honey focuses her practice on estate planning and trust administration for high net worth individuals, families and closely held businesses. She provides her clients with sophisticated counsel on business succession and legacy planning, drafting complex documents such as revocable living trusts and intentionally defective grantor trusts, helping to effectively minimize estate and gift taxes, income taxes, and generation-skipping transfer taxes. She also represents beneficiaries and fiduciaries during trust administrations, assisting with the preparation of fiduciary estate tax returns and formal accountings.

Prior to joining Coblentz, Kadeidra was an associate in the Trusts and Estates group at Gaw Van Male, LLP in Napa and was an Assistant Vice President with U.S. Trust, where she acted as a corporate fiduciary and trust administrator for individual, corporate, and multigenerational high net worth clients.

Professional Activities

Kadeidra is admitted to practice in California and New York. She is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California and the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers. Kadeidra serves on the Board of Directors of the Napa County Women Lawyers.

Education

Kadeidra earned her law degree at Washington University School of Law, where she was on the Dean's List and received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Legal and Ethical Business Issues. While at Washington University, Kadeidra externed for the Honorable Marsha Berzon of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Charities Bureau of the New York State Attorney General, and Washington University’s Non-Profit Clinic, helping new charities through the formation process. She received her B.A. in American Studies from Trinity College and her M.A. in Organizational Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
