With more than 20 years of experience, Howard Lasky has a broad-based business practice that emphasizes general corporate and intellectual property matters, private company financing, and mergers and acquisitions.
Howard has provided legal and business advice to numerous venture-backed technology and other emerging companies and their boards of directors, as well as seasoned privately held and public companies. He also represents venture, hedge, and buy-out funds. He advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property, including planning, inbound and outbound licensing and the acquisition and disposition of extensive intellectual property portfolios.
Howard spent several years as the Vice President and General Counsel of Digital Island, Inc. a publicly traded technology company. After that company's acquisition, he became Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Cable & Wireless PLC, a London and NYSE publicly traded company.
Howard earned his J.D. with high honors from Golden Gate University Law School (1987), where he was an editor of the Golden Gate University Law Review.
