Ari Messenger


Ari focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, and probate.  Her experience includes the preparation of foundational estate planning documents for high net worth individuals as well as post-death administrations.

Before joining Coblentz, Ari worked as an associate attorney in the Trusts and Estates group at a boutique firm in Silicon Valley and at a regional law firm based in Sacramento.

Professional Activities

Ari is a member of the State Bar of California Taxation and Trusts and Estates sections and the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law membership. In addition, Ari coaches negotiation and mediation competition teams at UC Hastings College of the Law and UC Berkeley School of Law.


Ari received her J.D., cum laude, from the UC Hastings College of the Law in 2013 where she served as the Executive Symposium Editor of the Hastings Business Law Journal and President of the ADR Competition Team. She also served as an extern for the Northern District Court of California’s ADR Department, worked as a teaching assistant in the Legal Writing & Research and Moot Court Departments, and contributed as a research assistant to Professor D. Kelly Weisberg’s casebook on domestic violence. Ari received her B.A. in Communication from the UC San Diego in 2009. Ari is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
